# ActiveCampaign

Connect Form Plume to ActiveCampaign to create or update contacts from form submissions, mapping email, names, phone, tags, and custom fields.

Use [ActiveCampaign](https://www.activecampaign.com/) when a form submission should create or update a marketing contact.

## 1. Add the account credentials

Open [Integrations](/docs/integrations), choose **ActiveCampaign**, and enter the account API URL and token. You will find both under **Settings > Developer** in your ActiveCampaign account. Treat the token as a secret.

## 2. Map the contact

Choose the form field that contains the email address, then map optional names, phone numbers, tags, and custom fields. ActiveCampaign matches on the email address, so a submission from someone already in your account updates the existing contact instead of creating a duplicate.

## 3. Test the result

Submit a known address and confirm whether ActiveCampaign created or updated the expected contact.

Review failed deliveries before changing field mappings. A missing required value is different from a temporary provider outage.
