Retention

Retention controls how long Form Plume keeps each submission before it is automatically deleted.

Open Data and privacy for the form and choose a supported retention period. New submissions receive an expiration time from the active policy.

Shorter is safer

A shorter window reduces the amount of personal data stored in your account. Choose the shortest period that still supports your team's real workflow and legal obligations.

Changing the policy applies to new submissions going forward. Submissions already stored keep the expiration time they were assigned under the previous policy, so shortening the window does not retroactively delete data that is already on file. If you need a specific record removed sooner, handle it through a data request.

Changing the policy does not turn an export into managed Form Plume data. Delete old CSV files and other copies separately.
